Start protecting your assets
Welcome — this page walks you through the recommended first-time setup for your hardware wallet: unbox, create a secure recovery, install companion software, and confirm your accounts. Follow each step carefully — security begins with the setup.
Install Official App
Download the official desktop or mobile companion app. Never install third-party firmware. The companion app will guide firmware checks and allow secure account import/export.
Create a Device PIN
Set a strong device PIN. This PIN protects the device if it is lost or stolen — choose a unique code, avoid obvious sequences, and memorize it; do not store it online.
Write Down Recovery Phrase
When prompted, write your recovery phrase (seed) on paper or steel backup. Store it offline in multiple secure locations. Never share it or enter it on a website or app except during a device restore.
Confirm & Test
Confirm your accounts by receiving a small test transaction. Verify that addresses displayed on your device match the companion app before sending funds.
